Yeah, the CIA Factbook is an amazing resource. I got introduced to it while doing a business degree and have continued to use it for research since. The shear volume of information and constant updates are mindboggling. One minor thing to keep in mind – when the desired info is qualitative (i.e. assessment of government effectiveness) it is from the perspective of the CIA and is bound to be biased. Even so the info is the best and quantitative stuff is a virtual gold mine. Have fun but be forewarned- once you start to read, hours will pass without you noticing.
